TRINITY WOMEN'S ICE HOCKEY DROPS HOME
GAME AGAINST UNDEFEATED MIDDLEBURY

 

Hartford, Conn.- Junior forward Kristin Ried River Vale, N.J.) and freshman forward Hannah DeLong (Hillandale, New Brunswick) each scored a pair of goals to lead the visiting Middlebury College Panthers to an 8-1 win over the Trinity College Bantams in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) women's ice hockey action this afternoon at Kingswood-Oxford Rink.  Trinity falls to 0-4 overall and in the NESCAC, while the Panthers improve to 4-0 overall and in the league.

Trinity freshman forward Tara Borawski (Simsbury, Conn.) scored the lone Bantam goal in the first period, on a feed from classmate Elizabeth Goldsmith (Long Lake, Minn.).  Junior tri-captain goalie Mimi MacKinnon (Glen Cove, N.Y.) made 36 saves in a losing effort for Trinity.

Six Panthers found the back of the net for the Panthers with senior defense Amber Neil (Port Crane, N.Y.) and freshmen forward Emily Quizon (Chino Hills, Calif.) each adding a pair of assists.  Freshman backstop Kate Kogut (Springfield, Mass.) stopped 12 shots to earn the win between the pipes for Middlebury.
