DADY AND HALLIGAN POWER HAMILTON
WOMEN’S ICE HOCKEY TO WIN AT TRINITY
West Hartford, Conn.- Senior co-captain forward Paula Dady (Wallingford, Conn.) had two goals and two assists to lead the visiting Hamilton College Continentals to a 7-2 win over the Trinity College Bantams in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) women’s ice hockey action this afternoon at Kingswood-Oxford Rink. Trinity drops to 2-9-2 overall and in the NESCAC, while the Continentals improve to 8-7 overall and 6-5 in the league with their first win in their last four games.
The game was even through the first period, as Trinity sophomore forward Kristy Hadeka (Castleton, Vt.) scored at the 5:49 mark, while Dady and freshman forward Jane Bradley (Casselman, Ontario) netted the first of their two goals apiece in the game.
The Continentals took control of the game in the second frame with three unanswered goals, and outscored Trinity, 2-1, in the third period. Sophomore forward Marissa Halligan (West Haven, Conn.) totaled a goal and four assists, and freshman goalie Stefanie Whalen (Pittsfield, Mass.) made 38 stops in goal. Bantam freshman forward Jessica Keeley (Scituate, Mass.) scored in the third period, and junior tri-captain Mimi MacKinnon (Glen Cove, N.Y.) made 36 saves in a losing effort.
