West Hartford, Conn.- Sophomore forward Kristy Hadeka (Castleton, Vt.) scored the game’s only goal midway through the third period to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 1-0 victory over the visiting State University of New York at Cortland Red Dragons in women’s ice hockey action this evening at Kingswood Oxford Rink. With the win, the Bantams improve to 3-12-2 on the season and snap a five game losing streak, while Cortland falls to 4-13-1.
Hadeka netted the clincher on assists from freshmen line-mates Tara Borawski (Simsbury, Conn.) and Jessica Keeley (Scituate, Mass.). Freshman goaltender Courtney Bergh (West Pennington, N.J.) turned away 25 shots for Trinity’s first shutout of the season. Cortland goalie Rachael Hutchinson (Canton, N.Y.) had 39 saves in a losing effort.
