CONNECTICUT COLLEGE DEFEATS TRINITY IN WOMEN'S ICE HOCKEY
Hartford, Conn.- Senior forward Caley Boyd (New Canaan, Conn.) scored two
goals and assisted on the third to lead the visiting Connecticut College Camels
to a 3-1 win over the Trinity College Bantams in New England Small College
Athletic Conference (NESCAC) women's ice hockey action this evening. The
loss drops Trinity to 0-5 on the year and 0-5 in the NESCAC. The Camels earn
their first victory of the season to push their record to 1-1-3 and 1-0-2 in the
league.
Connecticut College freshman net-minder Gabby Petrill (Greensburg, Pa.)
was impressive in goal stopping 36 shots, while junior tri-captain Mimi
MacKinnon (Glen Cove, N.Y.) had 17 saves for the Bantams. Bantam freshman
forward Tara Borawski (Simsbury, Conn.) scored the lone goal for Trinity
at 14:58 in the first period.
