HADEKA AND MACKINNON LEAD TRINITY WOMEN
TO OVERTIME VICTORY AT HAMILTON ON THE ICE

Clinton, N.Y. - Freshman forward Kristy Hadeka (Castleton, Vt.) scored two goals, including the game-winner in overtime, and assisted on a third score to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 3-2 overtime win over the Hamilton College Continentals in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) women's ice hockey action this afternoon. Trinity improves to 4-12 overall and 3-11 in the NESCAC, snapping a two-game losing streak, while the Continentals drops to 6-13 overall and 3-10 in the league with its seventh consecutive loss.

Trinity took a 1-0 lead early in the first period on Hadeka's first goal, receiving the first of two assists in the game by Bantam junior forward Katelyn Bowman (Summit, N.J.) and the first of three feeds by classmate Victoria Fox (Locust Valley, N.Y.).

Hamilton pulled even midway through the second frame on a goal by junior forward Emily Koren (Williamsville, N.Y.), but the Bantams went back ahead late in the period when Hadeka and Fox assisted Bowman on a goal. Hamilton freshman forward Marissa Halligan (West Haven, Conn.) forced the extra period with a goal at the 10:54 mark of the third period, but Trinity sophomore goalie Mimi MacKinnon (Glen Cove, N.Y.) held the Continentals scoreless the rest of the way and made four of her 54 saves in overtime to preserve the Trinity triumph. Hadeka netted the clincher 4:15 into overtime on assists by Fox and Bowman. Continental junior goalie Jen Kroleski (New Rochelle, N.Y.) stopped 40 shots in a losing effort, while Halligan finished with a goal and two assists.
