VERMONT SHUTS OUT TRINITY WOMEN'S ICE HOCKEY

Burlington, Vt. - Freshman forward Liz Reed (Newport Beach, Calif.) scored a goal and an assist to lead the University of Vermont Catamounts to a 5-0 win over the visiting Trinity College Bantams in Eastern College Athletic Conference women’s ice hockey action this afternoon. Trinity is now 0-2 overall and in the ECAC, while the Catamounts are 2-0 and 2-0 in the league.

Trinity freshman goalie Mimi MacKinnon (Glen Cove, N.Y.) made 41 saves for Trinity to give her a two-day total of 99 for the weekend. Junior forward Lori Hennessey (Essex Junction, Vt.) had a goal and an assist and sophomore goalie Tiffany Hayes (New Milford, Conn.) had six saves for Vermont.
