SACRED HEART SHUTS OUT TRINITY WOMEN'S ICE HOCKEY

Fairfield, Conn. - Junior forward Lori Hendra (Calumet, Mich.) had two goals and an assist to lead the Sacred Heart University Pioneers to a 7-0 win over the visiting Trinity College Bantams in Eastern College Athletic Conference women's ice hockey action this evening. Trinity falls to 1-10-2 and 1-8-1 in the ECAC with its third straight loss. The Pioneers improve to 7-4-1 overall and 5-2-2 in the league with their second straight win.

Sacred Heart outshot Trinity, 55-10, and opened up a 5-0 lead after two periods. Sophomore forward Rori Jean (Peabody, Mass.) added a goal and an assist and freshman forward Annie Katz (Montomedi, Minn.) notched two assists for the Pioneers.

Freshman Blair Kurtz (Encino, Calif.) made a career-high 48 saves for Trinity in net, while freshman Taryn Catamia (Noobachie, N.J.) needed to make just 10 saves to record the shutout for Sacred Heart.
