TRINITY WOMEN'S ICE HOCKEY FALLS AT HAMILTON
Clinton, N.Y. - Sophomore forward Paula Dady (Wallingford, Conn.) scored two goals to lead the Hamilton College Continentals to a 3-1 win over the visiting Trinity College Bantams in New England Small College Athletic Conference and Eastern College Athletic Conference women's ice hockey action this evening. The Bantams are now 0-3 overall and in the NESCAC and ECAC, while Hamilton is 2-0 overall and 1-0 in the NESCAC and ECAC.
Dady put the Continentals up, 2-0, with goals at 18:46 of the first period and 5:44 of the second. Trinity rallied to get on the board at 4:47 of the final period when sophomore forward Lindsay Peet (Stowe, Vt.) scored from senior co-captain forward Vanessa Heaton (Kent, Conn.). The Continentals held on and scored a late insurance goal to account for the 3-1 final score.
Trinity freshman goalie Meredith MacKinnon (Glen Cove, N.Y.) kept the Continentals, who outshot the Bantams, 44-14, at bay with 41 saves. Hamilton senior netminder Andrea Cecchinato (Thomaston, Conn.) stopped 13 shots for the win.
