CORTLAND STATE BLANKS TRINITY WOMEN’S ICE HOCKEY

Hartford, Conn. - Junior forward Colleen Reid (Brentwood, N.Y.) totaled two goals and one assist to lead the visiting Cortland State University Red Dragons to a 5-0 win over the Trinity College Bantams in women's ice hockey this evening at Kingswood-Oxford rink. Trinity falls to 0-7-2 and 0-5-1 in the ECAC wih its second consecutive loss, while Cortland improves to 2-8.

Reid scored the first period's only goal from sophomore forward Brooke Frank (Clinton, N.Y.) and added the first goal of the second stanza on an assist from fellow sophomore forward Stacy Titlon (Ithaca, N.Y.). Frank and Tilton added goals of their own in the second to help the Red Dragons pull away.

Cortland freshman goalie Rachel Hutchinson (Canton, N.Y.) stopped 33 Trinity shots to record the shutout. Freshmen Mimi McKinnon (Glen Cove, N.Y.) and Blair Kurtz (Encino, Calif.) combined for 20 saves for the Bantams.
