BANTAM VARSITY CREWS FINISH SECOND
IN GRAFF AND EMERSON CUPS
Worcester, Mass.- The Trinity College men's varsity eight crew, ranked No. 25 in the nation, finished its race with a time of 6:14.5 to place second behind the Wesleyan University Cardinals but ahead of the Connecticut College Camels in the Graff Cup on lake Quinsigamond this afternoon.
The Bantam women's varsity eight, ranked No. 11 in the Division III national poll, also finished second behind Wesleyan, ranked No. 5 in New England and No. 9 in the nation, but ahead of the Camels, ranked No. 18 in Division III, in the Emerson Cup at the same site at 7:09.4. The Bantam novice crews each finished first with comfortable leads, while the Bantam women's varsity four finished second behind the Cardinal boat.
