TILLEY HELPS WILLIAMS BEAT
TRINITY WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Hartford, Conn. - Senior forward Jamie Vielmetti (South Deerfield, Mass.) had 15 points and seven rebounds to lead the visiting Westfield State College Owls to a 58-45 win over the Trinity College Bantams in women's basketball action this evening. Trinity, which has lost four in a row, falls to 5-8 overall and is 0-2 in the NESCAC. Westfield improves to 10-5.
Trinity, which shot just 26 percent from the field made just four out of 25 three-point attempts, fell behind 20-4, to open the game. The Bantams battled back and cut the lead to three points at 34-31 early in the second half, but fell short. Trinity played the game without sophomore center Kate McCloskey (Uxbridge, Mass.), who is out with a leg injury.
Junior guard Bridget Dullea (Longmeadow, Mass.) paced the Bantams with 23 points and added nine rebounds and three steals. Junior forward McKenzie Corby (Bethel, Conn.) had eight rebounds and four assists and senior guard Jackie Siscone (Hammonton, N.J.) dished out six assists for the Bantams. Senior Monique Chapdelaine (Sturbridge, Mass.) scored 12 points for the Owls.
