TRINITY VOLLEYBALL WINS
ONE OF TWO MATCHES

New London, Conn.- Sophomore outside hitter Kate Hunter (Ross, Calif.) totaled 16 kills in each match to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a split in its two matches this afternoon in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) volleyball action at Connecticut College. The Bantams recovered from a grueling, 3-2 loss against the Tufts University Jumbos to defeat the Connecticut College Camels, 3-1.

Trinity moves to 3-4 overall and 1-2 in the NESCAC. Tufts, which also lost a 3-0 match against Wesleyan, is now 5-2 overall and 2-1 in the league and Connecticut College also lost, 3-0, against Amherst to fall to 0-6 overall and 0-3 in the league.

Trinity won the first two games against Tufts, 30-27, and decisively, 30-18, but dropped thenext two by identical 30-21 counts. The Jumbos won the deciding game, 15-10. Senior co-captain setter Christine Horton (San Marino, Calif.) had 52 assists, while freshman outside hitter Lucy Hollis (Mount Kisco, N.Y.) contributed 21 kills.

Junior co-captain middle blocker Carolyn Walker (Winston-Salem, N.C.) led the way against the Camels with nine kills and seven solo blocks, while Hollis notched 12 kills.
