TRINITY VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS
SATURDAY
IN NESCAC SEEDING TOURNAMENT
Hartford, Conn.- Sophomore outside hitter Kate Hunter (Ross, Calif.) had 18 kills and 10 digs to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 3-2 win over the Colby College White Mules in one of two matches in a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) volleyball seeding tournament at Oosting Gymnasium this afternoon.
Bantam outside hitter Lucy Hollis (Mount Kisco, N.Y.) added 13 kills and 27 digs and senior co-captain setter Christine Horton (San Marino, Calif.) had 29 assists. Trinity finished the day with two wins, having defeated Bowdoin College 3-0 (30-17, 30-26, 30-16) earlier in the day.
In other NESCAC volleyball action Bates College defeated Wesleyan 3-1 (30-23, 22-30, 32-30, 30-25) and topped Conn College 3-0 (30-25, 30-16, 30-27). Wesleyan then went on to beat Bowdoin 3-0 (30-12, 30-22, 30-12). Bates won 3-0 over Conn College (30-25, 30-16, 30-27).
