Hartford, Conn.- Senior outside hitter Erica Hewes (Pebble Beach, Calif.) totaled seven kills and six digs to lead the visiting Amherst College Lady Jeffs to a 3-0 win over the Trinity College Bantams at Oosting Gymnasium this evening. Trinity falls to 8-8 and the Jeffs, ranked No. 6 in New England, improves to 13-2.

Bantam senior outside hitter Kristen Hagan (Kentfield, Calif.) finished the match with eight kills and 10 digs, while sophomore middle blocker Carolyn Walker (Winston-Salem, N.C.) added eight kills. Amherst freshman setter Annie Hoeksma (Los Angeles, Calif.) also played a strong game with seven kills and six digs.
