WESTERN CONNECTICUT DOWNS TRINITY VOLLEYBALL

Danbury, Conn.- Freshman Carolyn Walker (Winston-Salem, N.C.) totaled 11 digs and seven blocks in a losing effort as the Trinity College Bantams dropped a 3-1 decision against the Western Connecticut State University Colonials in volleyball action this evening.

The Bantams, who were spoiled in their bid to reach the .500 mark for the season, fall to 13-15. Western improves to 19-12 with its fourth straight victory. The Bantams won the first game, and lost the next two by just two points, before losing the fourth and deciding game, 15-0.

Junior Beth Landry (Troy, Mich.) added 16 kills and 24 digs, and freshman Anjuli Bala (San Antonio, Texas) made 15 digs for the Bantams.
