TRINITY VOLLEYBALL WINS FIRST
AND SECOND FOR NAJARIAN IN SWEEP
Hartford, Conn.- Sophomore Christine Horton (Los Angeles, Calif.) had 35 assists in one game and 14 digs in another to lead the Trinity College Bantams to 3-0 wins over the visiting Mount Holyoke College Lyons and Fitchburg State College Falcons in volleyball action this afternoon. Trinity improves to 2-1, while Mount Holyoke moves to 1-1, and Fitchburg State falls to 0-2.
Horton and classmate Isabelle Krusen (Tampa, Fla.) led the way in the day's first match, as Krusen made seven digs and served three aces in a 3-0 Bantam triumph over the Lyons. Mount Holyoke came back to defeat Fitchburg, 3-0, in the second match, while Trinity, under rookie head coach Renee Najarian, blasted the Falcons, 3-0, in the final match of the afternoon. Trinity junior Beth Landry (Troy, Mich.) made 11 kills against Fitchburg State.
