TRINITY DROPS TWO MATCHES AT MIT VOLLEYBALL TOURNEY
Cambridge, Mass.- The Trinity College Bantams lost its opening match of the MIT Invitational Volleyball Tournament, 3-0, against NESCAC rival Bates College. Trinity also dropped a 3-1 decision against Eastern Connecticut State University in the second round of the 16-team tourney.
Bates easily defeated the Bantams, 15-8, 15-8, 15-6, but Trinity played much better against Eastern Connecticut, losing 15-12, 8-15, 15-12, 15-13.
Trinity will compete in the consolation (Silver) bracket Saturday at 9 a.m. against another league oppoenent, Williams College. The winner/loser of Trinity/Williams will face the winner/loser of Wheaton College vs. Smith College. The Bantams fall to 4-5 and 1-3 in the NESCAC for the season.
