TRINITY LOSES TO AMHERST VOLLEYBALL
Amherst, Mass.- Junior outside hitter Erica Hewes (Woodside, Calif.) had a match-high 19 kills and seven digs while classmate Meredith DeMeules (Los Angeles, Calif.) added nine kills, 45 assists and 19 digs to lead the Amherst College Lady Jeffs to a 3-1 win over the visiting Trinity College Bantams in New England Small College Athletic Conference volleyball action this evening.
Trinity falls to 6-7 and 2-4 in the NESCAC, while Amherst improves to 10-1 and 5-0 in the league. Game scores were 17-15, 11-15, 15-4 and 15-8.
Junior co-captains Kristin Hagan (San Francisco, Calif.) and Molly Roach (Fort Worth, Texas) tallied 18 and 12 kills, respectively, for Trinity. Sophomore Christine Horton (Los Angeles, Calif.) added 42 assists.
