TRINITY SOFTBALL SALVAGES TIE
WITH SKIDMORE, FALLS TO LASELL

Fort Myers, Fla. - Freshman OF Amy Corvino (Florham Park, N.J.) had two hits to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 6-6 tie against the Skidmore College Thoroughbreds in the Gene Cusic Softball Classic at Lee County Sports Complex this afternoon. Trinity, which downed Skidmore, 11-3, yesterday and lost to Lasell, 10-2, later today, has a 3-4-1 record. Skidmore improves to 0-6-1.

Freshman pitchers Victoria Moshier (Old Saybrook, Conn.) and Sarah Churchill (Danvers, Mass.) allowed eight hits over eight innings against Skidmore but were hurt by three Bantam errors. Trinity scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to force the extra innings, gave up two runs in the top of the eighth frame, and scored two more in the bottom half of the eighth before the game was called. Lasell touched Churchill for eight runs in the first inning to hand the freshman her first loss in four decisions in the nightcap.
