TRINITY SOFTBALL LOSES PAIR

Fort Myers, Fla.- Junior shortstop Laura Heath (Windsor Locks, Conn.) had six hits in two games, although the Trinity College Bantams lost, 16-14, against the Lasell College Lasers and, 7-4, against Oneonta State College in softball action this afternoon. The games were played at the Lee County Sports Complex as part of the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic. Trinity drops to 1-3.

Lasell scored six runs in the fourth inning and five more in the sixth to overcome Trinity’s 20-hit attack. Against Oneonta State, Trinity gave up two runs in the fifth and sixth innings after a taking a 3-2 lead on a two-run double by freshman Kate Hunter (Ross, Calif.). Sophomore Lauren McDowell (Chilmark, Mass.) took the loss for Trinity on the mound to fall to 0-2.
