TUFTS SOFTBALL SWEEPS TRINITY

Hartford, Conn.- Junior Jody Moreau (Clarksburg, Mass.) and senior co-captain Rachel Brecher (Newington, Conn.) each pitched complete games to lead the Tufts University Jumbos to a 5/12-2/0 sweep against the Trinity College Bantams in a New England Small College Athletic Conference East softball doubleheader this afternoon.

Trinity drops to 2-19 and 0-6 in the NESCAC East while the Jumbos improve to 15-7-1 and 4-0 in the league. Freshman Lauren McDowell (Martha's Vineyard, Mass.) and sophomore Kristi McDermott (Barrington, R.I.) combined on a six-hitter in the first game on the mound for the bantams.
