TRINITY SOFTBALL LOSES PAIR

Winter Garden, Fla.- Freshman right-hander Lauren McDowell (Martha's Vineyard, Mass.) allowed nine hits over seven innings as the Trinity College Bantams dropped a 4-3 decision to the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Falcons in the Rebel Spring Games Softball Classic. The Bantams also lost, 15-2, to the Eastern Connecticut State University Warriors. Trinity remains winless at 0-4 for the season, while Wis.-River Falls improves to 1-2 and Eastern Connecticut moves to 2-1.

The Bantams fell behind, 4-0, to the Falcons before scoring three runs in the top of the seventh inning. Trinity had three hits in the game. Against the Warriors, Trinity committed eight errors and gave up four runs in the third inning and eight in the fourth frame.
