TRINITY SOFTBALL LOSES PAIR IN FLORIDA

Winter Garden, Fla.- Junior Elizabeth Bontempo (Granby, Mass.) had two hits in three at-bats as the Trinity College Bantams dropped a 5-0 decision to the Coe College Kohawks in the Rebel Spring Games Softball Classic. The Bantams also lost, 10-1, to the Farleigh Dickinson University-Madison Devils later in the day. Trinity remains winless at 0-8 for the season, while Coe improves to 8-2 and FDU-Madison moves to 3-7.

Bontempo had two of just five hits for trinity against Coe, and the Bantams managed just two hits in the nightcap. Sophomore right-hander Kristi McDermott (Barrington, R.I) gave up eight hits on the mound for the Bantams against the Kohawks.
