TRINITY SOFTBALL LOSES TO 
BENEDICTINE AND EAU CLAIRE

Winter Garden, Fla.- Freshman right-hander Lauren McDowell (Martha's Vineyard, Mass.) allowed six hits over seven innings as the Trinity College Bantams dropped a 3-1 decision to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugolds in the Rebel Spring Games Softball Classic. The Bantams also lost, 6-1, to the Benedictine University Lady Eagles earlier in the day. Trinity remains winless at 0-6 for the season, while Wis.-Eau Claire improves to 8-3 and Benedictine moves to 4-2.

McDowell pitched her second solid game in a row, but fell short as the Trinity offense scored one or less runs for the fourth time in six games. Against Benedictine, sophomore right-hander Kristi McDermott (Barrington, R.I.) allowed nine hits in the loss. Trinity committed three errors in each game.
