TRINITY SOFTBALL SCORES THREE IN THE SIXTH
TO PULL OFF VICTORY OVER WESLEYAN

Hartford, Conn. - Junior catcher Clare Bullock (Columbia, S.C.) drove home the game-winning run with a two-run single in the sixth inning to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 3-1 win over the visiting Wesleyan University Cardinals in softball action this afternoon. Trinity snaps a six-game losing streak to move to 3-19, while the Cardinals fall to 8-11 with their first loss in the last five games.

Trinity scored all three of its runs in the sixth inning, starting with a lead-off single by sophomore Maureen Heneghan (Columbia, S.C.) and an RBI-single by classmate Laura Heath (Windsor, Conn.). Bullock scored Heath and sophomore Susan Kelly (Milford, Mass.) with two outs in the inning. Wesleyan had taken a 1-0 lead in the top of the first frame on an RBI-single by senior Debra Glickstein (Scarsdale, N.Y.).

Trinity sophomore right-hander Kristi McDermott (Barrington, R.I.) surrendered six hits to earn her third win of the season. Cardinal sophomore left-hander Lindsay Wasserman (Branford, Conn.) allowed eight hits in seven innings in a losing effort.
