TRINITY'S BAK AND EMORD EARN ALL-AMERICAN
HONORS AT CROSS COUNTRY NATIONALS

Rock Island, Ill.- Trinity junior co-captains Ryan Bak (Suffield, Conn.) and James Emord (Bridgewater, Mass.) both earned All-American honors for their outstanding performances in the NCAA Division III Men’s Cross Country National Championships at Augustana College this afternoon.

Bak finished 16th overall with a College-record time of 24:39 and Emord came in close behind at 24:45 to finish 23rd overall. The top 25 runners earn All-American recognition. Both Bak and Emord eclipsed the previous Trinity record time of 24:47, set in 1990 at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass, and both finished higher than any previous Bantam men’s runner ever had at Nationals. Last season, Todd Markelz ’01 finished 25th overall.

Bantam freshman Christina Kane (Springfield, Mass.), the first-ever Trinity freshman harrier to qualify for the National Chamnpionships, finished 86th with a time of 18:28.
