TRINITY WOMEN'S HARRIERS PLACE
THIRD AT ECAC CHAMPIONSHIPS

North Grafton, Mass. - Freshman Karen Roy (Ashford, Conn.) finished 14th overall to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a third-place team finish at the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Women's Cross Country Championship Meet at Tufts University's The Farm Course this afternoon.

The Trinity women's squad, ranked No. 11 in Division III New England, finished with 26 points behind second-place Keene State with a score of 159. Middlebury won the race with 45 points. The Bantam men's team had severla individuals competing in the race, but did not score as a team.

Freshman Kristina DePeau (Stafford, Conn.) was close behind Roy in 19th place. Roy ran a time of 19:43.9 and DePeau finished in 19:50.5. The Bantams, coached by George Suitor, competed without the services of their top runner, sophomore Leeann Rheaume (Pittsfield, Mass.).

Both teams will compete at the New England Division IIII Championships at Mass.-Dartmouth on Saturday, Nov. 11. The men are a favorite to qualify as a team for the NCAA Division III National Championships for the first time in College history.
