Springfield, Mass.- Sophomores Christina Kane (Springfield, Mass.) and Kathleen Forbes (Valley Falls, N.Y.) and freshman Jackie Kupper (Wethersfield, Conn.) won the 800 meters, the triple jump, and the 1,500 meters, respectively, as the Trinity College Bantams competed in the Vern Cox Outdoor Track and Field Invitational at Springfield College this afternoon. Men's senior tri-captain Jim Emord (Bridgewater, Mass.) and sophomore Jerrod Bullock (Mattapan, Mass.) finished first in the 5,000-meter run and the triple jump, respectively, for the Bantam men's squad.

Trinity boasted several impressive performances in the meet, including second-place finishes by freshman Kristen Geiger (Canterbury, N.H.) in the 100- and 200-meter dashes, sophomore Caroline Pierson (Weston, Mass.) in the 400-meter dash, and senior tri-captain Lauren Young (Old Saybrook, Conn.) in the hammer throw on the women's side. Junior James Porter (New Haven, Conn.) placed second in the 400 meters and sophomore James Sullivan (Sterling, Mass.) came in second in the 1,500 meters.
