2001-02
Women's Track
|
The 2000-01 season was a solid one for the Trinity College women's track and field team as it finished 12th at the NCAA Division III New England Championships and heptathlete Amanda Rival won the National Heptathlon. Senior co-captains Beth Landry and Jen Villa will lead the Bantams in 2001-02 as they climb the ladder in the New England region.
Landry and Villa give Trinity two legitimate scorers in the jumps, while juniors Leeann Rheaume and Kate Klein and sophomores Liz Brown and Kristina DePeau give Trinity four top distance runners.
Several top veterans are eager to build on solid campaigns in 1999-00, including seniors Jessica Martin (javelin) and Sarah Hackett (distance), juniors Lauren Young (hammer, shot put) and Stephanie Wezowicz (distance), and sophomores Amy Barry (sprints, jumps) and Karen Roy (middle distance).
