BAK WINS 1,000 METERS AS TRINITY TRACK SQUADS
COMPETE AT ECAC CHAMPIONSHIPS

Medford, Mass.- Junior tri-captain Ryan Bak (Suffield, Conn.) won the 1,000-meter run with a time of 2:27.87 to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 24th-place finish in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III men's Indoor Track and Field Championships at Tufts University's Gantcher Center this afternoon. Bantam sophomore Kristina DePeau (Stafford, Conn.) placed third in the 5,000-meter run at 17:50.24 to help the Trinity women finish 28th.

Both Bak and DePeau earned All-ECAC for their efforts, as did the Trinity women's distance medley relay squad. the foursome of junior Kate Klein (Huntington, Vt.), sophomore Liz Brown (Belmont, Mass.), and freshmen Christina Kane (Springfield, Mass.) and Kristi Wallin (Drexel Hill, Pa.) finished seventh with a time of 12:26.78. Other top individual performances for the Bantams included a 12th-place finish in the 1,500 meters for Kane and 12th and 13th-place showings by freshman Jarrod Bullock (Mattapan, Mass.) in the long jump and triple jump, respectively.

DePeau's and Kane's times were provisional qualifiers for the NCAA Division National Championships next weekend, and were personal-bests.
