2001-02 Men's Track
|
A 16th-place finish at the 2001 New England Track and Field Championships highlighted another strong year for the men's squad. A number of talented athletes, led by senior co-captains Steve Napier and Steve Greene, as well as indoor and outdoor All-American junior Ryan Bak, should lead the Bantams to an even stronger finish in 2001-02.
Bak, who finished seventh nationally in the 1,500 meters in both the indoor and outdoor season, highlights a deep and experienced group of Trinity distance runners. Fellow juniors James Emord and Ryan Lerner both have All-New England potential, while Napier will look to score in the distance and the steeplechase.
Other veterans include seniors Nick Fox (shot, discus, and hammer) and Sam Sonn (long jump, triple jump), juniors Steve Coakley (distance) and Bob McGovern (middle distance), and sophomores Matt Dahlmeier (discus), Chris Madison (hurdles), and James Porter (sprints).
