RIVAL FINISHED SECOND AT YALE PENTATHLON
WITH PERSONAL BEST SCORES

New Haven, Conn. - Trinity senior co-captain Amanda Rival (Berlin, Conn.) finished second in the pentathlon at the Yale Track Classic with a personal-best score of 3187. Rival, who won the New England Division III Pentathlon the last two seasons, broke her previous best score of 3,140 at the 2000 NCAA Division II New England Regional Championships.

Rival finished second behind Nicole Toney of Division I Connecticut, who totaled 3462 points. Rival also set a personal best in the long jump with a distance of 5.20 meters. Her performances in the high jump, shot put, and long jump were the best of any Trinity women's athlete this season.
