BAK PLACES SIXTH IN MILE FOR
ALL-NEW ENGLAND TRACK HONORS
Boston, Mass.- Sophomore Ryan Bak (Suffield, Conn.) finished sixth in the mile run with a time of 4:13.87 as the Trinity College Bantams competed in the New England Open Men's Indoor Track and Field Championships at Boston University this weekend. The women's indoor track and field squad competed at the New England Open Championships at Tufts University this weekend.
Bak was named All-New England for his outstanding performance and his time qualifies him provisionally for the NCAA Division III National Championships with one weekend remaining. Senior co-captain Todd Markelz (Homer, Alaska) finished seventh in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 14:58.38.
Senior co-captain Marisa Eddy (Los Angeles, Calif.) finished ninth in the 800-meter run for the Bantams, and ran a personal-best time of 2:17.63 in her preliminary heat.
