TUFTS GIVES TRINITY AND HALLAGAN FIRST TENNIS LOSSES

Hartford, Conn.- Junior co-captain Mark Fitzgerald (Bedford, N.H.) won his singles and teamed with freshman Jon Bram (Winchester, Mass.) for a doubles triumph, leading the visiting Tufts University Jumbos to a 5-2 win over the Trinity College Bantams in men's tennis action this weekend. Trinity, ranked No. 4 in the East region and No. 15 in the nation, drops to 9-1 with its first loss of the season and the first in the career of first-year Head Coach Rob Hallagan. Tufts, ranked No. 8 in the Northeast, improves to 7-1 for the spring. Trinity sophomore Richard Lawrence (Toronto, Ontario) and senior tri-captain Muammar Khan (Dhaka, Bangladesh) each won singles matches, playing at No. 1 and No. 4, respectively.
