Cambridge, Mass. - Senior co-captain Rostyslav Orach (New York, N.Y.) won the singles title and teamed with freshman Richard Lawrence (Toronto, Ontario) to capture the doubles title at the Rolex ITA Eastern Regional Men's Tennis Championships this weekend at MIT. Orach, seeded No. 1 in the tourney field, won five singles matches, including a 6-1, 6-2 triumph over Lawrence in the finals. Both will represent Trinity at the Rolex National Division III Intercollegiate Championships in Memphis, Tenn. on Oct. 20-22.

Orach and Lawrence, seeded No. 3 in the doubles field, won four matches the win the doubles title. They defeated the No. 1-seeded team of Matro/Palmer, of Williams College, 6-4, 6-4, in the finals.

Orach, a three-time All-American, did not lose a set in the singles tournament and posted victories over No. 3 J. Augustyn, of MIT, and No. 5 A. McDonald, of Bates College, in the semifinals and quarterfinals, respectively.

In doubles, Orach/Lawrence won in straight sets in three of four matches, barely losing a set in a 6-7, 6-1, 6-3 win over Murray/Murray, of Williams, in the semifinals.

In addition, Trinity freshman Scott Levy (Waban, Mass.) advanced to the tournament second round and teamed with sophomore Muammar Khan (Bangladesh) to win two matches and advance to the doubles quarterfinals. Levy/Khan defeated No. 4-seeded McDonald/Norton, of Bates, 6-2, 6-3, in the third round.
