	WESLEYAN SWEEPS TRINITY IN 
       MEN'S AND WOMEN'S SWIMMING

Hartford, Conn.- Freshman Mikki Columbus (White Plains, N.Y.) won
two events and was part of a winning relay squad, leading the visiting
Wesleyan University Cardinals to a 131-106 win over the Trinity College
Bantams in Trinity's women's swimming and diving home action this evening at
Ferris Athletic Center.  The Wesleyan men's team also defeated the Bantams,
148-74.  The Trinity women's team falls to 1-4 and the men dip to 0-4, while
the both Cardinal squads improve to 1-7.

Trinity sophomore Julia Kaye (Upper Saddle River, N.J.) won both the
200- and 500-yard freestyle events, while Bantam freshman Beth Ramaley (Old
Greenwich, Conn.) took first in the 100-yard freestyle. Trinity men's
captain Christian Sterling (Glastonbury, Conn.), junior Chris Rorer
(Villanova, Pa.), and freshman Matt DeRosa (Setauket, N.Y.) finished first
in the 200-yard butterfly, individual medley, and backstroke, respectively.
The Trinity women held a 95-88 lead with three events remaining before the
Cardinals finished strong in the three-meter diving, the 200-yard
breaststroke, and the 200-yard freestyle relay.
