Hartford, Conn. - Sophomore Gwen McCoy (Stillwater, N.J.) won the 50-yard and the 100-yard butterfly events to lead the visiting Mount Holyoke College Lyons to a 152-147 win over the Trinity College Bantams in women's swimming and diving action this evening.

The Trinity women, which were competing in their home opener and their first home meet under first-year Head Coach Kristen Noone, fall to 0-3. The Lyons up their perfect record to 4-0. The Bantams led, 139-124, entering the 200-yard freestyle relay which was the meet's final event. The Lyons came through with the first and third place relay squads to total 13 points in the event to Trinity's four and eke out the narrow meet victory.

Freshman Jennifer Bartlett (Marblehead, Mass.) paced the Bantams with first-place finishes in the 50- and 100-yard breaststrokes, while classmate Julia Kaye (Upper Saddle River, N.J.) won the 200-yard freestyle and senior tri-captain Cory Bernard (Seymour, Conn.) took first in the 200-yard individual medley. Bartlett and Bernard combined with freshmen Kathryn Youngberg (Cheshire, Conn.) and Elizabeth Stoker (Westwood, Mass.) to capture the 200-yard medley relay.
