TRINITY MEN’S SQUASH DOWNS YALE
Hartford, Conn. - Sophomore Regardt Schonborn (Bloemfontein, South Africa) won the most dominant match of the day, 9-1, 9-0, 9-0, at No. 5 to lead the Trinity College Bantams to an 8-1 win over the visiting Yale University Bulldogs in men’s squash action this evening at George A. Kellner Squash Center. Trinity, ranked No. 1 in the nation, improves to 5-0 for the season and extends its winning streak to 76 matches. The Bulldogs, ranked No. 4 in the nation, fall to 5-1.
Trinity won seven matches in three games, and sophomore Bernardo Samper (Bogota, Colombia), ranked No. 4 in the nation, posted a 3-1 win at No. 1 against Yale freshman Julian Illingworth (Portland, Oregon), who is ranked as the No. 3 player in the nation.
