TRINITY SQUASH TEAMS VISIT HARVARD
FOR 8-1 VICTORIES

 

Cambridge, Mass. – Senior Carl Baglio (Toronto, Ontario) and freshman Maria Restrepo (Medellin, Colombia) won the most dominant victories of the day, leading the visiting Trinity College Bantams to 8-1 victory over the Harvard University Crimson in men’s and women’s squash action this afternoon at the Murr Center Courts. 

 

Trinity, ranked No.1 in the nation in both men’s and women’s squash, improves to 11-0 in men’s squash and 7-0 in women’s squash.  The Bantam men’s squad extends its winning streak to 82 straight matches and the women up their streak to 18 matches in a row.  The Harvard men, ranked No. 3 in the nation, fall to 4-1, while the Crimson women, ranked No. 2 in the nation, also drop to 4-1.

 

Baglio allowed just four points in the No. 9 spot in the men’s match and Restrepo allowed only six points in a 3-0 triumph at No. 5.  Six men’s players and three women’s players won 3-0 matches for the Bantams.  Trinity junior Michael Ferreira (Stamford, England), ranked as the No. 3 player in the nation, blanked Will Broadbent (Greenwich, Conn.), the nation’s No. 10 player at the No. 1 position in the men’s match
