TRINITY MEN’S SQUASH COMPLETES 4TH STRAIGHT UNDEFEATED DUAL SEASON WITH WIN AT PRINCETON

Princeton, N.J.- Junior Jonathan Smith (Leeds, England) dominated in his 3-0 victory at the No. 5 position, leading the visiting Trinity College Bantams to an 8-1 win over the Princeton University Tigers in men’s squash action this afternoon. Trinity, ranked No. 1 in the nation, finishes its regular season with a 16-0 record and extends its consecutive match winning streak to 68 in a row. The Tigers, ranked No. 2 in the nation, fall to 8-1.

Trinity freshman No. 1 Bernardo Samper (Bogota, Colombia), senior Rohan Bhappu (Singapore), freshman Regardt Schonborn (Boemfontien, South Africa) won 3-0 victories at No. 1, No. 7, and No. 9 for the Bantams. Samper, ranked as the No. 1 individual in the nation downed the nation's No. 6 player, while Trinity sophomore Michael Ferreira (Stamford, England), ranked No. 3 defeated the nation's No. 2 player, 3-1, in their match at the No. 2 position.
