TRINITY MENS SQUASH BLANKS CORNELL
WITH EASE IN NISRA QUARTERFINALS
New Haven, Conn. - Senior Akhil Behl (Bombay, India) posted one of the teams eight 3-0 wins to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 9-0 triumph over the Cornell University Big Red in the quarterfinal round of the National Intercollegiate Squash Racquets Association (NISRA) Team Championships (Potter Trophy Division) at Yale University this afternoon.
Trinity, ranked No. 1 in the nation every week for the past three seasons and seeded No. 1 in the NISRA Championships, will face No. 4-seeded Yale University tomorrow at 2 p.m. Yale upended No. 5-seeded Western Ontario, 7-2, in its quarterfinal match.
Behl won his 3-0 match at No. 2 singles against Cornell freshman Tim Nagel (Toronto, Ontario), while No.s 3-9 on the Bantam squad also won, 3-0, matches. Trinity freshman No. 1 Michael Ferriera (Stamford, England) won, 3-1, over Rajat Khanna (Bethesda, Md.) to complete the 9-0 shutout.
