SANDELL SCORES TWO IN TRINITY MEN'S SOCCER
VICTORY OVER EASTERN CONNECTICUT

Hartford, Conn. - Junior co-captain forward Morgan Sandell (Cohasset, Mass.) led the Trinity College Bantams to victory, scoring two goals and assisting on another in a 3-1 win against visiting Eastern Connecticut in men’s soccer action this afternoon. Trinity, which has won six of its last seven games, improves to 6-3 overall and 3-2 in NESCAC, while Eastern Connecticut drops to 3-11.

Freshman forward Rob Bialobrzeski (Hampton, N.H.) opened up the scoring for the Bantams in the 27th minute, converting on a pass from Sandell. In the second half, Sandell rerouted a free kick by sophomore Aaron Birnbaum (Newton, Mass.) into the net, but Eastern Connecticut's Par Anderson (Stockholm, Sweden) converted a penalty kick to cut Trinity’s lead to one. Sandell iced the win for the Bantams in the 87th minute after taking the Warriors’ keeper one-on-one for the breakaway goal.
