TRINITY SOCCER BLANKS CONNECTICUT COLLEGE

Hartford, Conn. - Junior co-captain forward Morgan Sandell (Cohasset, Mass.) enjoyed his best game of the young season assisting freshman John Ziadie (Kingston, Jamaica) on two separate occasions and notching a goal of his own, as the visiting Trinity College Bantams posted a 3-0 victory over the Connecticut College Camels in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) men's soccer action this afternoon.

Trinity wins its first game of the season after a pair of heartbreaking 3-2 losses to improve to 1-2 and 1-1 in the NESCAC. The Camels fall to 1-2 and 0-2 in the league.

Ziadie and Sandell hooked up on their first goal just 58 seconds into the game and struck again 14 minutes later, giving the Bantams an early 2-0 advantage. The Bantams put the game away at the 65 minute mark when Sandell found the net for his fourth point of the afternoon. Sophomore goalie Michael Doherty (Marshfield Mass.) made seven saves to earn his first victory of the year.
