KLAUS KICKS TRINITY MEN'S SOCCER TO WIN OVER COLBY
Hartford, Conn. - Sophomore forward John Klaus (Blue Bell, Pa.) scored the game-winning goal with 3:35 left in the game to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 2-1 victory over the visiting Colby College White Mules in New England Small College Athletic Conference men's soccer action this afternoon. Trinity improves to 5-3 overall and 3-2 in NESCAC, while Colby drops to 4-4 overall and 1-4 in NESCAC.
Trinity junior back Jonathan Gamble (Rotterham, England) opened the scoring in the 66th minute, converting a corner kick from Klaus. With 14 minutes to go in the game, Colby's Jamie Yurek (Boulder, Colo.) tied the game on a penalty kick. Klaus scored the game winning goal on a perfect pass from junior captain forward Morgan Sandell (Cohasset, Mass.).
