TRINITY DEFEATS CLARK MENS SOCCER
Hartford, Conn. - Senior forward Brett MacQuarrie (Cohasset, Mass.) scored the game-winning goal in the 2nd minute and added an assists to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 2-0 win over the visiting Clark University Cougars in mens soccer action this afternoon.
Trinity evened its season mark at 5-5-3 and to 2-5- in the NESCAC, while Clark falls to 7-8-1 overall and 0-4-1 in NEWMAC.
Trinity freshman defenseman Marcello Micozzi (Newton, Mass.) scored the second goal of the game 51:43. Freshman goalkeeper Michael Doherty (Marshfield, Mass) made two saves en route to his first career shutout, while fellow rookie keeper Brad Wasik (Dover, Mass.) stopped ten shots for the Cougars.
