TRINITY MEN'S LACROSSE ROUTS
ROGER WILLIAMS IN FLORIDA
New Port Richey, Fla. - Junior attackman James Skiff (Portland, Maine) scored three goals for the second straight game to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 13-3 win over the Roger Williams University Hawks in men’s lacrosse action this afternoon. Trinity is now 2-0 while the Hawks drop to 0-2.
Trinity opened up a 5-0 lead after one quarter and led, 9-2, at the half, as nine different Bantams found the back of the net in the easy win. Senior tri-captain Ravi Pillay attackman (Falls Church, Va.) and freshman midfielder Coly Smith (Oyster Bay, N.Y.) tallied two goals and an assist each, while junior defenseman Tony Alexandre (Bernardsville, N.J.) dished out a pair of assists for the Bantams.
Trinity junior Geoff Shaw (Charlotte, N.C.) and freshman Jakob Isbrandsten (Greenwich, Conn.) combined for 13 saves in goal, and the Bantams outhustled Roger Williams for 73 ground balls. Junior face-off specialist Jamie Creed (Valley Forge, Pa.) picked up 10 ground balls and classmate Will Peace (Chestertown, Md.) nabbed a team-high 12.
