TRINITY MEN'S LACROSSE RECORDS
WIN AT WILLIAMS BEHIND SHAW
Williamstown Mass.-- Sophomore goalie Geoff Shaw (Charlotte, N.C.) made 17 saves in his second start of the season to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 9-8 win over the Williams College Ephs in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) men's lacrosse action this afternoon at Cole Field. Trinity, which snaps a four-game losing streak, improves to 2-7 overall and 2-3 in the NESCAC, while Williams falls to 4-5 overall and 2-3 in the league with its third consecutive loss.
After falling behind, 3-0, in the first quarter, the Bantam scored eight
unanswered goals over the second quarter and the first part of the third frame,
including two apiece by senior tri-captain attackman Sean Rohan (South
Hadley, Mass.) and junior attackman Ravi Pillay (Church Falls, Va.).
Leading 9-4 after three quarters, Trinity held on despite four scores by the
Ephs in the final stanza.
