MIDDLEBURY MEN'S LACROSSE BEATS TRINITY

Middlebury, Vt. - Fourteen players scored a goal for the home team, as the Middlebury College Panthers posted a 20-8 win over the visiting Trinity College Bantams in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) men's lacrosse action this afternoon. Trinity falls to 2-9 overall and 2-5 in the NESCAC with its second straight loss, while the Panthers, ranked No. 2 in the nation, improve to 10-1 overall and 6-1 in the league.

The Panthers tallied seven fourth quarter goals in the win, and had 14 different players find the net. Trinity led 1-0 before Middlebury scored 10 unanswered goals by 10 different goal scorers in the first half. Bantam senior attack Alex Westcott (Princeton, N.J.) scored two of his team-high three goals at the end of the half for Trinity to cut the lead to 10-3 at the break.
