LYNCHBURG BEATS TRINITY IN MEN'S LAX

Lynchburg, Va.- Sophomore attack Kevin Reinecke (Crofton, Md.) scored four goals to lead the Lynchburg College Hornets to an 18-7 win over the visiting Trinity College Bantams in men's lacrosse action this afternoon. Trinity drops to 0-2 with its second loss to a nationally-ranked team, while the Hornets, ranked No. 18 in the nation, improve to 6-1 with their sixth consecutive victory.

The Hornets scored the first four goals of the contest and led 5-2 after one period. Lynchburg extended its advantage with five straight goals to end the second period and take a 11-3 lead into halftime. Senior middie Peter Rogers (Southington, Conn.) had two goals and an assist for Trinity, while senior tri-captain attackman Sean Rohan (South Hadley, Mass.) posted two scores and senior goalie Eric Wilson (West Hartford, Conn.) made 10 saves. Bantam freshman midfielder John Thach (Berwyn, Pa.) netted his first career goal.
