GETTYSBURG DOWNS TRINITY IN
BANTAM MEN'S LAX SEASON OPENER

Gettysburg, Pa.- Pete Milliman (Rochester, N.Y.) and Kevin Smith (Baltimore, Md.)
each had hat tricks to lead the Gettysburg College Bullets to a 19-4
win over the visiting Trinity College Bantams in men's lacrosse action this
afternoon. The loss spoils the season opener for the Bantams, which were
ranked No. 7 in New England in pre-season, and the head coaching debut of
two-year Trinity assistant Brian Silcott. Gettysburg, ranked No. 2 in the
nation, improves to 5-0.

Trinity started the scoring on a goal by senior tri-captain attackman Sean
Rohan (South Hadley, Mass.) at the 13:22 mark of the first quarter, but
Gettysburg responded with 11 straight goals. Bantam senior midfielder Peter
Rogers (Southington, Conn.) scored two goals, and classmate Eric Wilson
(West Hartford, Conn.) made eight saves in net.
